Animal of the Day
Grizzly Bear (Ursus arctos horribilis)
Grizzly bears are known for their impressive strength and size, often weighing between 400 to 1,500 pounds. They have a keen sense of smell, which is seven times better than that of a bloodhound, allowing them to detect food from miles away. Grizzlies are also important for their role in maintaining ecological balance in their habitats.
